Research areas identified to achieve technical, social and economic objectives that allow the deployment of Local Energy Communities with a positive balance.
Research areas identified to achieve technical, social and economic objectives that allow the deployment of Local Energy Communities with a positive balance.
The introduction of local energy communities in the current energy system requires both a regulatory framework, as well as the definition of a series of business models that empower users to participate in new energy business model, continually promoting the deployment of these communities.
Based on this objective, the current regulatory barriers limiting the inclusion of local energy communities will be identified, and different use scenarios and typologies of local energy communities will be defined considering a technical-economic feasibility to identify the most promising ones.
Likewise, for the proposed models, business potentials, possible interactions with the electricity market, the agents involved in those models the limitations and challenges of each model will be identified in order to finally validate them, together with the associated technological solutions, in a demonstration environment or sandbox.
