We are looking for an engineer with power electronics skills, able to participate in the design, development, implementation and validation of models, prototypes and control/communication programs.
Proactive, able to adapt to development needs. Therefore, ability in firmware development and debugging will also be an asset.
Able to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, in order to be able to develop in dealing with the customer.
Main functions:
- Design of electronic devices aimed at energy efficiency. Mainly electronic design, but also with analysis and equipment commissioning capabilities.
- Design and assembly of test benches to characterise digital models of electronic equipment.
- Implementation of M2M communication protocols in electrical infrastructures.
- Commissioning of electrical/power electronic devices.
- Analysis of electronic systems. Defining the behaviour of equipment in the presence of different input parameters.
- You will also work on simulations in order to analyse and characterise electronic systems before testing them in the laboratory.
Occasional duties:
- Carrying out electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility tests on electronic equipment.
- Validation of control models and electronic instrumentation codes.
- Analysis of regulations and certifications.

Working experience:
We are looking for staff with 12 – 24 months of professional experience, fulfilling the description of the following activities:
- Documentation and development of technical proposals.
- Design of electronic systems and prototypes. Characterisation and selection of components.
- C programming of embedded systems. State machine, calibration and communications.
- Analysis and validation of devices to meet the specifications of the final product.
Academic qualifications:
Graduate in industrial electronic engineering or industrial technologies, with Master’s degree assessment in Power Electronics.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Training in power electronics, design of electronic converters and commissioning of equipment. Knowledge oriented to the design, modelling and validation of systems, both in control and power of electronic equipment will be valued.
- Knowledge of M2M industrial communication protocols (CAN, RS485, Ethernet, Wifi, Zigbee, Bluetooth), industrial instrumentation and microprocessors.
- Knowledge in design and assembly of electrical panels, interpretation of electrical plans.
Software and programming languages:
- Knowledge of electronic circuit analysis and design (PCB), use of Altium Designer valuable.
- Simulation skills in PSpice, PSIM and MATLAB/Simulink, others valued.
- Knowledge of C programming in embedded systems and Verilog HDL.
- Knowledge of tools for testing equipment in the laboratory.
- In addition to experience in the use of work methodologies oriented to research projects.
