The HySGrid + consortium seeks to address the environmental impact, where the reduction of CO2 emissions from electricity generation is achieved to meet the emission reduction objectives according to European legislation and the PNIEC 2021-2030. As well as facilitate the integration of distributed energy resources in Local Energy Communities.
HySGrid’s objectives are aligned with the future needs of companies to be competitive and face the transformation challenges of the energy sector, as they focused on the research and development of novel technological solutions to facilitate the creation of Local Energy Communities with a positive net balance, energy efficiency and based on hybrid renewable generation and storage systems.
The specific objectives of the HySGrid + consortium are classified as: technical, economic, social and environmental. These goals aim as basis for supporting the enabling technologies and participating workgroups.
The general purpose of the HySGrid + consortium is to strengthen technological capacity and foster solid cooperation between the five technological centers of excellence that comprise the consortium, which are CARTIF, IKERLAN, AICIA, ITG and ITE, with the ultimate aim of developing innovative technological solutions that facilitate the deployment of local energy communities, which can operate guaranteeing a positive net balance.
